Almost everyone seems to agree that French tourists are extremely hard to please…as everything must be just right.
British tourists, on the other hand, will only complain in the most extreme cases, and as long as there is plenty of sunshine…and cheap booze available, they are perfectly happy.
The French are also considered to be an arrogant lot – mainly because, like their English counterparts, they make absolutely no effort to speak a foreign language when abroad.
And what is more normal with this nation of gastronomes that the French also expect to have not only quality food available at the lowest possible price, but the high level of service that goes with it.
In contrast, the British tourist is quite happy as long as he gets a hot breakfast, and anything like a take-away sandwich later in the day…or a mediocre buffet type meal.
