In 2011/12, France overtook the US and Austria to once again become the most popular destination for skiers worldwide. With 55.3 million skier days recorded, the French reclaimed the title for the first time in 3 years while the US and Austria experienced drops in daily visitor numbers of 15.8% and 2% respectively.
